Online tailored jeweler
LaRimonta is the first online tailored jeweler in Italy and Europe that offers the ability to re-use existing valuable stones to create new jewelry..Timeline
In six decades of activity I have witnessed many changes to the jewellery industry but the quality of the final jewel has never been up for debate, and it never will
The result of the expertise of an entire professional life working in Valenza's laboratories, LaRimonta was founded by Carlo Buttini, master goldsmith born in Valenza in 1937. He has been active in the field since 1957, Buttini was the representative of Valenza's Jewelers at Universal Expo in Brussels in 1958, where Valenza's jewels were exposed in the Atomium for the first time.
Exhibitor at trade fairs of Valenza, Milan, Vicenza and Basel, he was responsible for the distribution of jewels on the whole Italian market for the family company, having as customers the most prestigious Jewellers. In 1972, with his wife he constituted a separate company active in manufacturing goldsmith and jewellery trade, still operating and specialized in tailoring one-of-a-kind pieces of the highest band.
The professional life of Carlo Buttini sees him engaged on a twofold front: as well as in its production and commercial activities, he has been for 25 years Treasurer of the “Italian Gemmological Institute” which he co-founded in 1970. In the 80's he was the Vice President of the “Valenza's Jewellery Association” and - consequently - the President of the “Finance Valenza's Goldshmiths” which built the structure of the "Goldsmith's Exhibition of Valenza".
In 2011, along with his children Gianluca and Emanuela and their friend Fabio Sangiovanni, founded LaRimonta Srl: the first online tailored jewellery offering recovering of valuable stones and extremely customized jewels with precious gems, new or recovery.
Today Carlo transfers in the company his great experience, supervising and taking care of the quality control of the entire production.
LaRimonta continues the tradition of his goldsmith excellence, making it available online to a modern audience and following an innovative Web 2.0 model.
